OnePlus 5 running Android 8.0 Oreo spotted on Geekbench

Though we do not know an exact date for the rollout of the Android 8.0 Oreo update to the smartphone, the OnePlus 5 with Android Oreo was spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking database by TheAndroidSoul. Notably, this is not the device of any user of the smartphone and we need to wait for the same to be rolled out to the users. As the smartphone was spotted running the latest iteration of the Android OS, we can expect it to soon relish the Oreo flavor.
OnePlus has already confirmed that the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will also receive the Oreo update. However, the devices launched before 2016 will not get the taste of Oreo. Recently, the company released a beta build of Android 8.0 Oreo to a select group of OnePlus 3 users tipping that the stable build will be rolled out in the coming months.
A few days back, OnePlus teased the Oreo update to the OnePlus 5 on its official Twitter handle. The tweet tipped that the update will be launched sometime around Christmas. Given that OnePlus is one company that rolls out timely updates to its smartphones, we can come to a conclusion that the Oreo update to the smartphone will not take a long time.
For those who are not aware, the Android 8.0 Oreo update will roll out features such as picture-in-picture mode, autofill for apps, and other such features to the OnePlus 5, OnePlus 3 and 3T.

You’ll never use your iPhone the same way after learning these neat iOS 11 tricks

But a majority of iPhone and iPad users are not developers and simply rely on Apple’s OTA rollout, which finally took place earlier this week.

For the most part, the iOS 11 gave the much-needed superpowers to the good old iPhones and iPads.

While most users might have noticed the biggest changes like the new Control Center, AR apps and faster performance, what many failed to notice are the little things that make huge difference.

If you’ve downloaded and installed iOS 11 on your iPhone and iPad, these are the incredibly important features that will make your experience a whole lot better.

Storage management

With the iOS 11, you can manage storage in an efficient manner. Apple’s devices now show you which apps are consuming storage, and let you offload them when not needed.

You can always reinstall the apps and pick up where you left from.

Some apps like Messages, Photos and Music are worth reviewing, as they consume very high storage that you probably don’t see.

Type to Siri

How often you’ve been shy to use Siri in public. You no longer fear rejection from Siri as it comes with new typing option. Just go to General > Accessibility > Siri, and then turn on Type to Siri.
